The Oryx bullet with lead core is characterized by high expansion and mass retention. To ensure optimal expansion at any impact velocity, the Oryx has a thin front wall with internal partitions. The soldered jacket and thicker rear wall provide very high mass retention (often more than 90%) and good penetration. The Oryx expands quickly to a large diameter without cracking, creating a wide penetration channel and reducing tissue damage.
